Keturah Doane Dyer was born on the 7th of May, 1735, in Truro, MA, on Cape Cod, to Sarah Doane and Ebenezer Dyer.
She married Thomas Hopkins in Truro on the 25th of April, 1754, and they had three children together. She lost her husband, Thomas, on the 19th of April, 1761, just 5 days after losing their youngest daughter.
She remarried John Kenny of Boston in Truro on the 9th of January, 1770. The family continued living in Truro, and she and John had three surviving children:
- Thomas Hopkins Kenny (born 1772)
- Molly Kenny (born 1775)
- John Kenny (born 6 February 1779, died 2 January 1857 in Truro)
John died on the 9th of January, 1790, in Truro.
Keturah died on the 5th of August, 1796, in Truro. She was buried four days later in Truro.
