Thomas Hopkins

Thomas Hopkins was born the 28th of January, 1731, in Truro, MA, on Cape Cod, to Deborah Bickford and Thomas Hopkins.

He lost both his parents within weeks of each other, around the time of his twenty-third birthday.

He married Keturah Doane Dyer a few months later, on the 25th of April, 1754, in Truro. Together, they had three surviving children:

  • Keturah Hopkins [Smalley] (born 30 October 1754, died 22 March 1802, in St. George, Maine)
  • Sarah Doane Hopkins
  • Thankful Hopkins (born 2 November 1759, died 14 August 1775 in Truro)

Thomas passed away on the 19th of August, 1775, five days after Thankful, in Truro.
